How to prepare a textured wall to put up wallpaper?

Preparing a wall with textured plaster to put wallpaper takes time and effort, but the final result will be worth it.

How to prepare a textured wall to put up wallpaper?

First, examina Carefully scan the beaded wall to identify damaged areas, cracks, or loose paint drips. Use the putty knife to gently scrape away any loose spots and remove any remaining dust or dirt. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to ensure it is clean and free of impurities.

After, sand the gotelé with medium-grit sandpaper the surface. The goal is not to completely remove the textured finish, but to smooth out any irregular textures or bumps that may interfere with the installation of the wallpaper. If there are still holes or imperfections on the wall after sanding, use wall putty either joint compound to fill them. Apply the product to the affected areas and use the spatula to level and smooth the surface. Once the filler has completely dried, lightly sand again to obtain a smooth surface.

How to place wallpaper on a textured wall?

Stomach the height of the wall and cut strips of wallpaper with a few extra centimeters at the top and bottom for proper adjustment. If the wallpaper has a pattern (match/rapport), make sure the strips are aligned correctly before cutting them.
